Kitchen cleaning – a varied cleaning environment with high hygienic standards/requirements. In this article, we provide answers to three frequently asked questions about kitchen cleaning.

Hygiene:
1. What are the hygiene-critical requirements for kitchen cleaners?

Hygiene is essential in the kitchen. This includes compliance with strict hygiene concepts – comprising the HACCP concept (hazard analysis of critical control points) as well as the defined measures of the cleaning and hygiene plans. Hygiene is not just about having clean hands when preparing broccoli: it’s also about the condition of the work surface on which you place the broccoli. For this reason, it is essential that every cleaner used in the kitchen can be removed with water without a trace, and the cleaning product can dissolve even the most stubborn grease residues. This means that kitchen cleaners need to:

  • be very good at dissolving grease
  • enable short contact times
  • guarantee cleanliness without residues

Must-have vs. Nice-to-have:
2. Which products are essential for cleaning all kitchens?

Every kitchen is different: in terms of size, purpose and equipment. As absolute basics (basic equipment), we recommend at least the following three cleaning products:

Special application for stainless steel and glass ceramics:
3. In professional kitchens, stainless steel and glass ceramics have long been standard elements. How can these materials be cleaned efficiently, yet gently?

Large kitchens have a high proportion of stainless steel (e.g. work surfaces, sinks and cabinets). Due to splashes from the stove, everyday cooking results in burnt-on encrustations with a high grease percentage. The same applies for the area around the fryer. Fingerprints or dried-on remnants of splattered food on stainless steel cabinets are not uncommon either.

Glass ceramic stoves also form an integral part of the kitchen area. Daily traces of use (burnt-on material, encrustations, streaks from pots and pans) become evident on the surface.

All this soiling on stainless steel and glass ceramics can be removed with a single special cleaning product: Wetrok Levanex.

The specialist cleaner Wetrok Levanex features exactly the right quantity of abrasive particles, surfactants and solvents to dissolve oil and grease stains in record time. The gentle but efficient mini abrasive particles (without microplastics) polish the surface and create a long-lasting pearling effect.
