Red is a no-go in the kitchen

A toilet should be cleaned with a different cleaning cloth than the kitchen – in theory, that is a no-brainer. But how to make sure that the cloths don’t get mixed up? Easy: with a colour coding system. Each area of use is assigned a specific cloth colour.
Wetrok recommends the following colour coding system for cleaning utensils:
Blue (surface cleaning): Doors, lamps, desks, cupboards, chairs, window sills, heaters, the office and furniture
Yellow (sanitary cleaning): Sink, shower cubicle, bathtub, tiles, fittings, shelves
Red (WC cleaning): Toilet bowls, urinals, tiles in the “splash area”
Green (kitchen): Surfaces and appliances in the kitchen
White (disinfection): Surfaces and devices as required/desired
Colour coding prevents incorrect use of cleaning products
All Wetrok cleaning products come with a stripe of colour to indicate areas of use and match the colour coding system for cleaning cloths. The Wetrok kitchen cleaner has a green stripe, because the green cloths are the ones used for cleaning the kitchen. It is a good idea to follow through with the colour coding when it comes to the buckets on the cleaning cart as well.
Advantages of the colour coding system:
- Prevention of cross-contamination
- Easy system for you and others to remember (transparency)
- Guaranteed highest level of hygiene
